Project Dosti gives 6-8 Stanford undergraduate students the opportunity to travel to southern India during the summer to volunteer with an education nonprofit. Dosti’s mission is to equip participants with a new understanding of a foreign environment in order to change attitudes and actions at home. Volunteers gain a better understanding of a specific region of India, promote the sharing of cultures and ideas, and encourage personal learning and growth in a foreign environment. Together, we seek to create a more united and equal future for young people around the world. Dosti is a student-run affiliate of Stanford University’s Haas Center for Public Service, and is funded through generous donations. Applications open in December and are due in February.
